Tonight I had the privilege of being a part of a book club conference call. The book being discussed was ’The Answer’ by John Assaraf and Murray Smith. A brief synopsis follows for any of you that have not read the book, so you can understand my post better. 

Assaraf and Smith know how to minimize risk and maximize success, and The Answer provides a framework for sharing their wisdom, experience, and skills with the millions of people who want to accomplish their own dreams in life. Using cutting-edge research into brain science and quantum physics, they show how readers can actually rewire their brains for success and create the kind of extraordinary lives they want. By teaching readers how to attract and use newly discovered “uncommon” senses to achieve business success, the authors demonstrate the beliefs, habits, thoughts, and actions that they have used to build eighteen multimillion-dollar companies.          

Laurie Hacking, Step into More, lead the discussion. One topic was in regards to our goals for our businesses. Each one said how they felt and then it was my turn. I said something, I can’t recall because all I heard coming out of my mouth was, “I WANT MY GOALS COMPLETED NOW! NOW, NOW, NOW! I have done all the things Laurie is suggesting and nothing is working! (Mind you no one else heard this, but I felt like screaming this and stomping my foot.) In that moment I was convicted by my Higher Power and I figured out that nothing was working because I wanted it to happen in my time frame not His.  

I was quiet for the remainder of the call, because I finally figured out the problem with my business well… Myself.  Laurie told us a quote that went something like this,” Pray while moving forward.” I need to continue working towards my goals, praying about my goals and trusting my Higher Power that they will happen in his time. God please give me more patience.
