I make pancakes almost every Shabbat... like this:

1/2 cup self-rising flour
dash of salt
1 tablespoon of dark brown sugar (work it into the flour)
chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)

1 tub of fruit yogurt
(make sure it has fruit in it - I like Peach or Apple...)
1 egg
1 tablespoon light oil
1 teaspoon honey

Mix altogether. Can add some buttermilk or plain milk if the batter is too thick.

Cook the same way - on a hot, buttered griddle.

No syrup needed - these pancakes are sweet, fruity, crunchy and delicious all by themselves! Enjoy!

Wonderful story! These look and sound delicious! You might like to try MauiJims Cottage Cheese Pancakes sometime. They sound weird but I think you will like them.

My fiance and I have pancakes for dinner sometimes. We love 'em...and waffles. Haha. I need bacon and/or sausage and eggs with them. Need to balance the sweetness with salty. :) I'll try this next time!
