I told you all in my last post that I was going to call a successful restaurant owner, Joe Miller, and see if he would meet with me and give me some insight. Well better yet, I saw him for a few minutes and the first thing he asks me was how my business concept was going.
I seized the opportunity and ask if we could meet. He said when, I said where and it was schedule. I agonized over asking him and it was so simple. We meet tomorrow (Oct. 9) for lunch. I have my list of questions prepared.
The one big thing I have learned in this venture is; ask, ask and ask some more. You’d be surprised how many people are flattered to be asked for advice and insight. A mentor, an advisor or maybe a whole handful of people who can keep nudging you along as you go forward in pursuit of your business concept. The other source of help is from my God. I have spent many nights trying to solve a problem and finally I pray about it and it is usually taken care of.
Believe in yourself and your business concept! ”Focus more on your desire than on your doubt, and the dream will take care of itself. You may be surprised at how easily this happens. Your doubts are not as powerful as your desires, unless you make them so.” Marcia Wieder/ Speaker and Author
